Heidi is a Connecticut-based librarian and new college student. After taking some classes a number of years ago, she took time off to raise a family. Now that her children are grown, the desire to finally get her degree, as well as improve future job prospects, prompted her to return to Manchester Community College during the Spring 2016 semester. She is currently a Communications major, but is considering transferring and completing the requirements for a degree in Liberal Arts instead. She looks forward to taking more courses and meeting new people as she renews her studies at MCC.
In addition to her work in a corporate library, Heidi is also an avid genealogist. In 2010 a love for history, super sleuthing skills, and a desire to build connections between family members led her to begin researching her "family tree.” Six years and many adventures later, genealogy has become a life-long hobby. In addition, she is an amateur photographer, and especially enjoys nature and travel photography. She also strongly believes in giving back to the community, and is an active volunteer at her local synagogue.
